The moon never stays. It only ever leaves a little at a time.
Each plate was slab-built by hand and finished in layered glazes, and each moon was drawn on by hand, one phase to a plate. They hang in a violet sky, pale and textured, glowing the way the real one does on a clear night: a little worn at the edges, lit from somewhere you can’t quite see.
Full. Gibbous. Half. Crescent. Set them down in order and the moon wanes slowly across the table, course by course, until there’s just a sliver left and someone asks if there’s more cake.
Sized for dessert, small plates, and long evenings. Food safe and dishwasher safe, made to be used and not just admired.
